Not surprisingly, the Earth Day festival had a display of electric cars. Three of them were Teslas, the luxury rocket of no-emission vehicles. Note the storage space where the engine would normally be. My son had a chance to drive one once. He said it went from zero to OMG in near-complete silence.
They make me drool but are a wee bit out of my price range. So, back to my slightly worn but very well made Honda. Much more practical.

Always nice having something to dream about. I was seriously thinking about a Lexus c200h as in between but perhaps it also will be a dream.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteFrom zero to OMG so speedily, I somehow imagined them to be quite slow.. Mo d you, what the heck do I know about cars :)
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you with a slightly worn out and very well made Honda. It just keeps going. I do have a friend who bought a Tesla and loves it. I probably would too if I could afford it.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen many of them around here, but I'm not often looking at cars (and really can't tell what model is what just at first glance anyway).
ReplyDeleteI have a few auto 'wants', dreams. Luckily, practicality wins out.
ReplyDeletethe new model may be in the price range of mer-mortals
ReplyDeleteI'm not drooling about Teslas.
ReplyDeleteOne of my flickr contacts bought one of the first Tesla's, but he is a billionaire so he could afford it.
