There are lots of street performers in New Orleans' French Quarter. Many of them are of a very high standard. This group was playing traditional Dixieland jazz in the street between St. Louis Cathedral (yes, they have one, too) and Jackson Square.
Nice people shots. I have been to New Orleans half a dozen times, but always with obligations, never with the time to wander around. Gotta do that some time.
Fun music story to tell you. A Swedish country musician, Jill Johnson has her own TV show. Called Jill's Veranda. Recorded in Nashville. During a walk she gets to hear a homeless street musician play. Then this happens:
