Warehouse No. 3

Warehouse No 3

More B&W. Not BMW. I drive a Honda. If I blow money I'll do it on cameras and lenses.

This is an abandoned warehouse a couple of blocks from yesterday's power plant. The overpainting across the top suggests it's had more than one occupant. I can't make it out - guesses are invited. No idea what DE was. Don't think it stands for Deutschland.

TOMORROW: a B&W Thursday Arch photo. And some other stuff. Lots of arches.

  3. In the Netherlands we have a brand for coffee, tobacco and tea that is called D & E for Douwe Egberts , (the original starter of the firm in 1753). It was long part of Sara Iee but now it is called D & E master blenders and brought to the Euronext stock. I am not sure of it is this on your picture but I like the B&W of the facade as the picture from yesterday.

  4. I can't discern this either, although D E was evidentlyl a trademark, at least at one time.

Maybe if you found Warehouse No. 1 or 2, they would provide a clue, if they still exist.

  6. I really tried to come up with an explanation for the DE trademark. It has a familiar look but I can't place it either.

  7. Nice one. I was going to say "Deutschland" until you said you thought it wasn't!

  8. DE might have been initials, I suppose.

In some of the lettering to the right, it almost looks like the word rum.
