Back in the day I used to post an Arch picture every Thursday. After six and a half years of this blog it's hard to see it in new ways. Once in a while something gets my eye. This is the grand staircase that goes to from the monument to the Mississippi River. It was taken in late afternoon with the sun behind and to the left of the camera. And it's an HDR.
This is completely different! Quite an angle for the shot.
ReplyDeleteOh wow!!! That's really different!!! I like it!!!
ReplyDeleteBack in the day? Not that long ago... This one is exceptional.
ReplyDeleteGreat composition and rythem. Made more strongly by the B&W. Great piece for your arch photo collection.
ReplyDeleteYou always manage to surprise me with this series. Brilliant shot, Bob!
ReplyDeleteBravo Bob..the lines leading us to the glimpse of Arch, brilliant !
ReplyDeleteThis photo will win whatever photo exhibition you do next.
ReplyDeleteFabulous pic!
ReplyDeleteVery creative!
ReplyDeleteI saw a shot during pregame last week (you were probably at the game and missed it) that I have never seen on one of your Thursdays. Shot between wooden buildings. Then again... haven't seen them all.
ReplyDeleteThe arch is like the Eiffel Tower. It can be seen from damned near anywhere in the city. Still, it must become wearing trying to do a weekly arch feature. But, today's image seems like a new way to see it.
ReplyDeleteWEll dang that is a new one B. I love this. A keeper along with all the zillion other ones you've captured over the years. How do you keep coming up with these!!!

Always interesting to see what you will come up with, and I understand that it must be tricky to find new angles all the time. A bit easier for me with my tree...
