One of the headliners at the Mitrata Nepal Foundation fundraiser was the remarkable Dawn Weber, trumpeter, singer, composer and arranger. She plays jazz, funk, classical, Latin and more. She filled the stage with personality and music. Locals, if you have the chance you must hear her play. There are some music clips on her website - click the link on her name.
Madeleine Monday
My younger child is 33 so there is a lot I've forgotten about developmental milestones. For instance, babies don't know how to smile right away. Ms. M will be nine weeks tomorrow and she's got this all figured out now. So much more expressive.
Dawn looks like a lady with personality but Ms M. steals the show here!
ReplyDeleteGreat series with Dawn.
ReplyDeleteBaby M is definitely the star here! Those photos--especially the third one--are adorable!
ReplyDeleteYup, the 'divine Miss M' is a star! That last shot is too cute for words! Thanks for the link to Dawn Webber's music, will go and have a listen right now!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah...Miss M is workin' it!!!
ReplyDeleteExcellent portrait shots of Dawn, Bob.
ReplyDeleteAnd that third pic of Miss Maddie is priceless!
A terrific series of portraits today, Bob, of Dawn and Ms. M.
ReplyDeleteWonderful series indeed. Yes, learning to smile purposefully is such a milestone.
