We spent yesterday afternoon visiting a small, family owned coffee farm near the hamlet of San Luis (how appropriate). Victor, the proprietor, tends his plants with the greatest care. They teach you the proper way to make and drink coffee, Costa Rican style. Buy his stuff at http://victorsfarm.com/. He'll ship it to you and you won't regret it.
And to make it a very special day, it was the fifth birthday of his daughter, Maria Angel!

Beautiful light in the portrait photo's. I think the surrounding background colors helps a lot here. Great photo's. I like them
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you are having a great time in Monteverde. Julie saw your photos of the tree house lodge and resolved that we will need to go stay there. We had heard of this place but had never seen it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful portrait of daughter and dad. BTW No idea how it's made but I CAN drink it. Fast. Slow. While talking. Hot. Cold. Is that what you mean? hahahaha
ReplyDeleteTerrific portrait shots, Bob!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of an interesting guy and his daughter!!! I just recently bought Costa Rican coffee from a fellow blogger...grown on a small farm...maybe it's his!!!
ReplyDeleteWe had fabulous coffee in Ecuador...really great flavor without the high acid/bitterness of most coffee...I've found the same from the Guatemalan coffee we just finished...also from a small grower.
Have fun and keep on clicking!!!
That coffee's the real deal, not the swill I"m sipping this morning.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful portraits as always.
