Last night the Marysville, Kansas, High School Class of 1962 held its reunion dinner. I thought my high school class was small, with about 160 graduates. MHS had 83 students in Carolyn's year. These are nice, nice people. It was fun for me to be the unexpected class photographer.
After dinner there was an interesting discussion about whether to have the next class get-together in 5 or 10 years. The members of the class are now in their late 60s. What are the odds?
I apologize for the lack of comments on friends' blogs of late. There have been lots of activities and I don't get to do my post until late night. We should be back in St. Louis by dinner time tonight and I will get back on a regular schedule.
I had 71 in my graduating class. I have ONE best bud from 'em all. Really don't want to see them again either. That's me.
ReplyDeleteThere were 750+ on my class in 1964. Some folks I never knew. I'd be willing to be this group has been close since elementary school. I know C. had fun!

Aside from the odd person I've stayed in touch with from high school, I have very little interest in the rest, so I doubt I'd ever go back for reunions.
ReplyDeleteFor the spouse of the classmate, you have been impressively involved with the reunion. My class was about 250 people, I think. They aren't all good friends, but there are many good people in the class. We have been doing them every five years. I skipped the last one because I had something else to do, but I will probably go to the next one, which is the 50th.
ReplyDeleteGreat job Bob, you got some super portraits here. I only know where a couple of my classmates are these days, high school was in Central Africa and they have flown wide and far these days.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have a clue how to trace my old class mates and I'm not sure I'd enjoy seeing my own age in other people's eyes either. But this get-together could change my point of view.
ReplyDeleteSo - what did they decide: 5 years or 10 years ?
