It gets dark awfully early these days, although I know it's more extreme for those of you farther north. Some things get an entirely new feeling in the dark, like Jim Dine's statue of Pinocchio in Citygarden, Big White Gloves.
By the way, there is an article in the current issue of Forbes, the business magazine, titled St. Louis Doesn't Suck. Finally the press got something right.

fabulous shot.
ReplyDeleteSo, does someone thing StLou sucks? Well, other than than those that thought the ownership should 'pony-up' the extra bucks for your first baseman.Baseball has certainly changed... in the old days he would have stayed by the Arch FOREVER! What's the feeling about it? Better to let go? Will that boo him in April? If he played for the Red Sox they would. Johnny Damon will NEVER live it down. A-hole!
ReplyDelete'Ta Da' Pinocchio is declaring this shot as brilliant, and he's spot on! Fabulous composition Bob!
ReplyDeletemagnifique cette photo de nuit, avec pinocchio en chef d'orchestre
ReplyDeleteNow that's that's what I'm talking about. The Big A and Pinocchio, and the city lights all rolled into one. Keep this handy B, you're gonna need it for a show or competition.

ReplyDeleteWow. What a great photo. Where did you learn photography? School? Self-taught? A friend?
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I haven't been to this park yet.
I don't understand why people dis St. Louis so much (besides the weather, anyway). That makes me sad.
