Got into Avignon yesterday afternoon, went for a walk, had some trouble finding a restaurant open Sunday night, hit the jackpot. And now, once again, it's getting really late.
Above, a wonderful guitarist in the plaza in front of the papal palace.
Below, pix of the carousel in the Place de l'Horloge.
Bottom, Restaurant New Ground. Superb Provencal cuisine, moderate prices and our charming waiter, Jean-Philippe. If you find yourself in Avignon you must eat here.
We hope to see our friend and colleague, Nathalie, today.

Have a wonderful visit to lovely Avignon. Please give Nathalie a hug from me! (you lucky!) Love your photo of the guitarist. Beautiful blur in the background and love the stretch in his fingering that you caught.

une tres belle ballade, superbe choix des photos, tu nous raconte ta journée, superbe
ReplyDeletePerfect combinations for vacation -- Monaco/Menton and Avignon, and Jilly and Nathalie.
ReplyDeleteOh that straight back on the guitarist. Love the movement and evident joy on the face of the children in the second carousel photo. And how strange it seems that a Japanese-looking restaurant should seve Provencal food. Big hug to Nathalie xxx
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to Nathalie. What did you order?
ReplyDeleteTop portrait fantastic Bob, children on Carousel gorgeous and hopefully the food was delicious! Keep on enjoying.
ReplyDeleteBob, what a great set of images!
