Sometimes the Arch just seems to disappear into the sky, like Jack's beanstalk. When you are underneath it you might not think to look all the way up. It's just not human scale.
A bit of HDR, a great choice of B&W, an arch that reaches to the sky, you did it again. This one deserves to join the collection.
I don't think I told you how much I enjoyed last week's close up with the graffiti and fingermarks - it made the arch so down to earth - just the opposite of today's shot. I love the opposition between the 2.
Looks almost like an illusion.
ReplyDeletec'est pris avec un grand angle ? cela fait une distorsion qui rend bien avec la dame et l'arche, elles sont dans le meme "mouvement"
ReplyDeleteBig but not as big as that big sky...
ReplyDeleteFabulous, fantastic and stunning too!! Perfect in B&W that sky is unbelievable, your 'arch' series has been awesome Bob.
ReplyDeleteReally amazing!! Reminds me of the video game Halo, there is a circle like this around the whole planet. Really nice job, especially with the B&W!!

Like living in a neighborhood and never noticing all the telephone poles and wires.
ReplyDeleteArchie never looked better.
The clouds in black and white work really well with the illusion. Nice work.
