Boats in the procession that received the blessing and then went by the bar a few meters away where the decorations were judged. Which would you follow? Chacun à son goût.
There must have been fifty of them (boats, not young ladies), perhaps many more. I didn't try to count.
coucou coucou, cela donne envie de faire du bateau ;)
ReplyDeleteLol @ Olivier.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever considered a career as a paparazzo?
I can guess which boat most of your male readers would follow Bob haha!! Me I'm a sucker for the pirates!
ReplyDeleteI was a Sea Scout growing up in St. Louis in the 1960's and out troop had two small sailboats at Alton Lake on the Mississippi. I never saw anything like this on the river. I saw lots of those coal barges that you mentioned.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever considered doing a photo essay on little known festivals of the Mid-west?
ReplyDeleteForget the fricken pirates! Follow that boat!
ReplyDeletePeople respond very nicely to you photographing them, you must have some charm :)
ReplyDeleteI loved Lucca too and didn't spend enough time there. Our time got cut short because we were coming from France the air traffic controllers went on strike.
These 'decorations' can be very interesting!
ReplyDeleteLooks like they were getting a good tan stretched out . And such friendly waves too (young ladies, not the water).
ReplyDeleteNo more of this whining about having to be out and about taking photos every weekend B.
