The geezers among us may remember the scene early in the movie The Graduate when a family friend gives Dustin Hoffman a single work of advice for his future: plastics. At the second of Downtown St. Louis' Parties On The Plaza, the band itself was named Plastic. The lead singer seems to have looked at a lot of pictures of Rod Stewart but differed on the question of color.
This reminds me of a hit singer called Plastic Bertrand...
