All must be revealed: yesterday we flew from Miami to Liberia, in northwest Costa Rica, then drove an hour to the town of Tamarindo on the Pacific Ocean. Holy bleep, this beats being in St. Louis in January. And we owe it all to our friend and colleague David Selden of Tamarindo Daily Photo, who owns the condo where we're staying. Dave lives in the Phoenix area but spends a lot of time here. I don't blame him. This is the place. I'm telling you, if you have a way to get to Costa Rica, you should come here.
I met a couple from Cincinnati when I was shooting on the beach at sunset and they suggested we dine here. OMG. It's looking like a good week.
Above and first below, sunset at Playa Langosta, where the apartment is located. Bottom, flying off the south coast of Cuba on the way down.

ReplyDeleteBob,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your graciousness in talking about our condo. I am glad you are enjoying your week.
I mentioned to Julie yesterday that you had arrived, and she said that she hopes that you enjoy some good sunsets. Seeing your photos makes me miss not being down there myself.
Interesting to see Cuba from the air. It may not be long before Americans will be able to visit in greater numbers.
What a great adventure and respite! Isn't blogging fun; we meet so many interesting people in so many fantastic places. Enjoy your stay!!
ReplyDeletegreat aerial shot of cuba and seeing the sunset makes me want to come down soon. there is nothing like the beautiful red sunsets and warm waves to make a fabulous happy hour on the patio overlooking the ocean. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just a fabulous place? I hope you have as much fun as I did the week I spent there. Well, maybe except for the zip-lining. I'm glad I did that but, once was enough.
ReplyDeleteCosta Rica is the best place to just get away and enjoy the beaches, the critters, the great food, the beautiful plants. My trip there was fantastic and I know I will return.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots Bob! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOkay, feeling a little jealous now...
ReplyDeleteThe perfect sunset shot - did you see the green light a few seconds later?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous aerial view of the reef too!
Is any snorkeling planned?
