I'm writing this in a lounge at O'Hare Airport in Chicago, getting ready to board our flight to Dublin. The weather there into mid-week sounds fairly awful (not sure if that link will work) but we're still excited. Dinner for Wednesday confirmed with one of my readers, despite the predicted howling storms.
This is one of the fountains in Citygarden where children are invited to play. It's an HDR, which is how the multiple-image of the running children happens.
Pix from Ireland soon.

HEY, FIRST PIX FROM IRELAND, taken this afternoon at St. Stephen's Green. More in the morning, this time.
What a refreshing shot!
ReplyDeleteI wish you a nice stay in Ireland.
A great job, I love fountains like this. They got rid of the only one we had here. = : (
ReplyDeleteun joli et doux HDR (comme je les aime) au début je croyais que c'était une multi surimpression.
ReplyDeleteGhosts seem to abound in the summer in Saint-Louis.
ReplyDeleteWeather forecasts are often wrong, on the other hand, Ireland does have this reputation... Perhaps that's why pubs are so comfy there and the you know what's good for you flows so freely.
Fascinating and creative photo. Julie wants to learn HDR.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness you posted a photo from elsewhere from O'Hare airport rather than posting a photo of O'Hare airport. I have seen too much of O'Hare already.
Have a wonderful trip to Ireland. I look forward to photos of it.
This says summer all over. Enjoy Dublin! Raise a pint or two.
ReplyDeleteI thought at first the photo was a reflection, with the 'double' kids. Nice one.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the Emerald Isle. If you haven't been there before, once you get out of the city, you'll know why it's earned this nickname.
Absolutely LOVE the fountain fun with the reflected players.
ReplyDeleteBuon viaggio and report back soon with many many Irish images!
Ciao

Love the top shot of the kids. Very cool! HAR
ReplyDeleteThat's our Bob, Johnny on the Spot with photos the minute your feet hit Irish soil. Keep em coming. We're ready!

Have a great time in Ireland, Bob. Let me know if it looks anything like Sunnyside, Queens.
ReplyDeleteI love the center photo because birds are so fun to watch, very social characters. I also enjoy the pools of blue reflecting all around them. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteNice photos from Stephen's Green! I used to live a few blocks from there when I was a student. I wonder if Johnny Forty Coats still hangs around?....Maybe not. It was a while back. He used to wear layers of newspaper between his various coats and was a well known character around The Green. That guy at the bottom looks kind of grumpy. Guess he just doesn't know his good fortune.....living there.
