It's St. Louis Daily Photo Blog's third anniversary! Yes, thirty six months commanding St. Louis daily photobloggery (at least since Merry moved back to Syracuse). To celebrate, I dragged out this old picture I made as an exercise when I started learning Photoshop (a process that has no end). It's been a chore to keep this up but there have been so many benefits. I've met some fascinating people, in person as well as online. My photography skills have improved and I've developed something like a style. It has made me get to know my city better. My savings are smaller because of all the lenses filters flashes books reflectors camera bodies light stands tripods ball heads diffusers bags and memory cards (begging in the the header notwithstanding). Money well spent.
Thanks to my friends, readers and commenters. Shall we go for four?

Congratulation to your 3rd Blogoversary, Robert! What a nice idea to celebrate it! It's time for a theme day named "The Crowe Technique" (or other).
ReplyDeleteTRES BON ta couverture...Un joyeux anniversaire et felicitation pour ces trois ans, c'est toujours un plaisir de venir chez toi..Alors je te souhaite une bonne continuité...CHAMPAGNE
ReplyDeleteCongratulations for the aniversary and of course for the PS cover. Your photography work shows constant devoloping and discipline. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHappy blogversary!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely go for four, five, six...
A big celebratory cheer (and lots of champagne),
Ele xx
I second Eleonora's comments! Bravo, sir. A 'Time'ly post, indeed.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a great achievement!
ReplyDeleteOh Happy Day B! I think I'll have champagne for breakfast to celebrate. Well......maybe not .
ReplyDeleteOf course you go for 4!! It will wear you out but do it anyway. You're the hardest working photographer on CDP, without a doubt!
And a big thank you for your friendship and all the help and advice you've giving me along the way. You've been with me since I hung out my shingle. I hope I've shown some improvement!

Great job on the Time cover and please go for four but bring the Arch Series along with you. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteYes. But I want to hear more about this stirring new sea epic of yours...
ReplyDeleteOh what fun this is! Many many congratulations on your big day, always super photos and commentary to make us think! And of course you'll go for the next anniversary and the one after, I hope - and onwards. And thanks to you for your comments and encouragement, which has always meant a lot to me.
ReplyDeleteYES please.
ReplyDeleteI'm back just in time to encourage you on, aren't I good? ;-)
One day you'll have to explain how you did that. I've been trying and not getting anywhere...
Congratulations and please keep on! Your intrepid eye: St. Louis is the richer for it and we, for two, are hooked forever, Admiral Crowe.
ReplyDeleteCongrats and keep it up! I certainly look forward to another year of your photos. Thanks for doing what you do!
ReplyDeleteLet me add my congratulations to those of the admiring throng. Three years is a fantastic achievement that even a newbie like me "gets." Lots of work and time invested in this venture. But it's fun, isn't it? Keep up this labor of love. Your fans insist.
ReplyDeleteI feel so bad, because I meant to send a message early this morning and time got away from me. Congratulations on the anniversary. It's quite an accomplishment. I know because I'm approaching the same anniversary. At times it's time consuming and tedious but, for the most part, it's so much fun and makes you look at your environment in a whole new light. Here's to many more!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your third year! Wow, I'm in my second month! I enjoy your photos and sense of humour - keep it coming!
ReplyDeleteA belated congratulations on #3, and by all means, go for 4!
ReplyDeleteYou wild and crazy guy! Super shot of our coverguy, and that ever present sense of humor coming out in full force. Congrats on this 3rd blogoversary, Bob. I will count your question as rhetorical. There will be no naysayers, only a bunch of us clamoring for your great writing, wit, and excellent photos. Someday I hope to see all your arch shots in an up close and personal retrospective, so start pricing large printers in preparation for adding to your gear.
ReplyDeleteYour creativity and wicked funny take on things make it such a pleasure to be a regular reader/viewer. Enjoy this accomplishment and continuing the pursuit.
