Black Light Cowboy

.
More of the delightful entertainment from First Night. The was a group of - what should we call them? - black light clowns, cowboys or jugglers. Yippie-ki-oh-i-aye! How would this pair of boots have gone down on the Chisholm Trail?

This was a tough picture to make, stretching the limits of a good camera: ISO 3200, f5, 1/13 sec., hand held. Good enough.

TOMORROW: Thursday Arch Series.

  2. An interesting, unusual (or unique) subject and technically a very challenging and masterful photo.

  6. Very creative presentation ... I'm amazed how well the black-light illuminated cowboy recorded. Amazing. Looks like a really nice event that night, and a wonderful alternative to typical New Year's Eve activities.

  7. I'm impressed as all get out. Whoooeeeee!
I didn't know a camera could have an ISO of 3200. I lead a sheltered life.

  8. Outstanding, Bob! As for the boots, I'm not sure they'd have played well on the Chisholm Trail, but they'd be a hit on the Barbary Coast.

  11. Photographing performers is one of your gifts. This guy is amazing, I love that wisp of green in the foreground.
