More of Autumn In Forest Park

.
This picture is just me having fun playing in the toy box: Forest Park in mid-autumn, tricked out in HDR with Photomatix Pro and a few bits of this and that in Photoshop. Looks better than nature. Who needs reality? Make your own.

WHAT I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS MORNING: I have an appointment with my ophthalmologist. I have been going to this guy for more than 30 years and he's a great doctor but, man, he's a far out right-winger. I'm gonna get an earful and will have to change the topic. He and I both like opera. Let's talk about opera, doc.

TOMORROW:
you could even say it glows.

  2. Yum.

Blogger still won't let me use the large picture format. I wonder why.

  3. It could be worse. you could live in a city that is FULL of "docs". Yes, see if you can change the subject. That's how I survived 20 months of the campaign!

Good grief, glad i have my sunglasses on. This shot could glow in the dark!! IT's gorgeous though. Keep playing. It's keeps you out of trouble I suppose.

  5. I was startled by the colours. It's probably just as well nature doesn't look like this, it might result in sensory overload.

  10. Regarding the STL Post contest:

The Metro photo in my opinion wins for its structure, color, bold statement. I love it.

I think the Holocaust photo has an excellent chance of winning for its emotional impact and visual interest.

The Shinto photo is wonderful, too, since it reveals something most St Louisans will never see.

Have you analyzed past winners to see which kind of photo (cute, sleek, foreign, touching) wins?

    Good luck!!
