An image half-way between two varieties of my Arch photos: reflected in a building but in black and white. The spire and flag pole sit atop the Old Court House. Some history and links to other photos of this historic building are in my post of June 9.
TOMORROW: Wet, very quiet.

comme toujours, serie superbe et cette photo avec les reflets et le mode sepia est magnifique. Bravo
ReplyDeleteas always, superb series and this photograph with the reflections and the sepia mode are splendid. Cheer
I was twice visit the Gateway Arch and have not got enough of it. It just looks like a gigantic sculpture from a distance.
ReplyDeleteiblowfish: that's exactly what it is - monumental sculpture. I know I have a local prejudice but I think it is the most beautiful grand scale sculpture in the world. I never tire of it. It looks different at every hour of every day. There are many other compelling great sculptures around the world (the temple of Ramses II on the Nile, the Great Buddha of Kamakura, the Statue of Liberty, etc. etc.) but the Arch is my fave.
ReplyDeleteThis may be my favorite of your Arch series yet.
ReplyDeleteI ever thought, seeing your Arch, that there's a great similitude with this one in Torino.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog again.
ReplyDeleteI agree with victoria - one of the most beautiful.
Great one, the color suits this picture very well, good job !
ReplyDeleteI like this - I could also go overboard on metaphors, but I'm sure everyone can find their own
