But we do see donation boxes appearing more and more. I've seen one in Lyon and I know there are others in many towns. People place whatever they no longer need in them and whoever wants it takes it. Every little donation helps someone. When we lived in Maine, my wife knitted and crochet warm hats and donated them. She also put tags on some of them and placed them around town. The tags on the hats said they were free and warm so please take me home. One day she saw someone wearing one of her hats.
