Of course, in that case the lowland farmers agreed to the dynamite -- which resulted in some VERY rich topsoil and sediment once the waters resided.Kevin Bhttp://yastlblog.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1740227464249118134.post-45178295654159825292011-05-03T22:14:13.980-05:002011-05-03T22:14:13.980-05:00Civilization as we know it might not have emerged ...Civilization as we know it might not have emerged if it weren't for rivers flooding annually, but it is still scary. The environment and wildlife need the wetlands, which also enrich the soil for agriculture. But certainly no one owning or living in the bottom land wants to e flooded. I just heard on CNN that the Army Corps of Engineers is about to go ahead with breaching the levee.Dave-CostaRicaDailyPhoto.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02567583999945259422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1740227464249118134.post-27532262555349981052011-05-03T06:00:43.697-05:002011-05-03T06:00:43.697-05:00your mississippi is a dangerous, moody creature wi...your mississippi is a dangerous, moody creature with a mind of its own. when you arrive in menton, leave your heart open and the rich experiences will rush right in. i loved wandering the streets in menton, gorbio, roquebrunne, and nice. bring extra memory cards and a battery charger. you'll need them.brattcathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10382428477056833533noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1740227464249118134.post-80060091988499877752011-05-03T01:21:08.783-05:002011-05-03T01:21:08.783-05:00So much terror, sadness, and feeling helpless for ...So much terror, sadness, and feeling helpless for so many people.Lynettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05092690457095379968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1740227464249118134.post-43334837746032301452011-05-03T01:16:03.911-05:002011-05-03T01:16:03.911-05:00Mismanagement of rivers?
