Seems like every holiday is now just another excuse and I have to admit I didn't know the history behind Cinco de Mayo either. Great photos. I might have seen you there. Saw lots of people with big cameras that day.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1740227464249118134.post-40492645745240102422011-05-08T21:51:28.514-05:002011-05-08T21:51:28.514-05:00One fine portrait , B.

I was with friends in London on May 5th a few years ago and we had dinner at a Mexican Restaurant there but, they had no idea that the day was something to celebrate. That was a fun time that I think about every Cinco de Mayo since.Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07645915869786296771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1740227464249118134.post-61900681238765713842011-05-08T09:23:36.106-05:002011-05-08T09:23:36.106-05:00A fine portrait here that captures the spirit and ...A fine portrait here that captures the spirit and feel of the day.Birdmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16634185585147630883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1740227464249118134.post-25001689350115282692011-05-08T07:19:04.924-05:002011-05-08T07:19:04.924-05:00Nice photo. It is even stranger that several Central American countries were ruled by an American from Nashville who led a private army to establish a country that would perpetuate slavery. His defeat in Costa Rica is commemorated with a national holiday. Maybe that should be celebrated in the USA also, rather than Nashville honoring him with a monument.Dave-CostaRicaDailyPhoto.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02567583999945259422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1740227464249118134.post-80438668826092392142011-05-08T03:34:32.391-05:002011-05-08T03:34:32.391-05:00Partying on the streets while drinking tequila sou...Partying on the streets while drinking tequila sounds a bit dangerous.
