Art In Bloom

Back in The Lou and time for the Saint Louis Art Museum's annual Art In Bloom show. Throughout the galleries, top floral designers are invited to create an arrangement that interprets but does not copy a particular painting or statue.

Beautiful things to see but hard to shoot. STL has a lot of public events for a city our size but, as time passes and word gets around, they get more and more crowded. Pretty tough to take pictures with the masses walking into your shot. I may go back today when the museum opens for another try.

I love this event and am happy that you, Sharon in Phoenix, and I in the Twin Cities have an opportunity to see these beautiful creations each year. Yes, it is challenging to photograph the bouquets and art work effectively, but it is worth a try! Aren't we lucky to live in cities that have museums who are able to hold this event?! More, please!

I so love this event and the Phoenix Art Museum hasn't had one for a while now. I think it's because one of the main galleries is closed for a huge refitting of fire suppression equipment. I'll have to enjoy it through your photos.

These are very creative! I don't think our Gallery does something along these lines.
