First Day of Spring

It got cold Saturday and there was some snow Sunday morning, the first day of spring. That's one of the rare things that could get me out early on a Sunday morning and down to the botanical garden, where the cherry blossoms and other flowering trees were popping. Worth the effort.

There are some more of these to post but tomorrow is a special event.

Not so far here already , bit to cold for the time of the year and that with a winter who was a bit to warm. Strange.

I'm so glad the snow on our first day of spring didn't stick around!

Oh that's such a pretty image Bob, so worth getting up and facing the weather for!

What a lovely burst of color! We're not seeing that here yet.

What a contrast- snow and cherry blossoms.

Our first day of spring was sunny but cool. Cherry blossoms won't be around here until May.

Oh wow, what a great photo with all those pink blooms and the other tree frosted with snow. What a great combination.

Same story in Haninge with the snow. Great to see the cherry blossoms. That will not happen here for a while I guess.

A nice composition to show the tension between the buds of spring and winter not happily giving up.
