City Daily Photo Monthly Theme Day: Entry

Castle Entrance Liberia

Two Costa Rican entries for the price of one, which is a really great deal since they're free.

The first is the old castle where the music school is located. Mrs. C and our guide, Esteban, approach from the left.

The second is the back entry to the town of Filadelfia. There is a shot of the front entry out on the highway here. There are important archeological sites of pre-Columbian peoples there. The arch shown below refers to roots and identity. The one in the link calls the town "archeological city."

Costa Rica, how wonderful for you! Especially coming on the heels of the dreaded "polar vortex" -- I think you needed the tropics! Pura vida!

A Costa Rican double whammy arch image.. brilliant. 'Filadelfia' sounds like a very interesting spot, happy exploring Bob!

I really like this second one. From inside out, sort of.

Your eye really focuses on arches! Wonderful massive Entries!

The arch of the first one is really surprising, like entering one of those scan thingys in hospital. It's lovely though. The second one is like a promise.

Two perfect choices. I chose the entryway to the Liberia Airport, in between the two locations of your photos today.

We drive through Filidelphia on our way from the airport to Tamarindo each time we arrive, of course. The main road skirts past the main part of time, however. We go into the heart of the town sometimes to pick up bananas to feed the monkeys while en route to Palo Verde National Park.

Both are exceptional choices, Bob. That building feels very old indeed...

Nice selections. Having a man on a bicycle in the second, arched shot makes it so much more interesting than it might have been if you waited for everyone to exit the scene.

Fun twist to your Thursday arch series ;)
I do prefer the one you have in St Louis though.
