Durham School

.
ROTC and Majorettes

There was a racket outside my office window late yesterday morning. I went to the window and saw a dozen or more yellow school buses with marching bands streaming out of the doors. I had my camera with me and went down to take a look - I was headed that way anyhow.

No idea what it was about. One band after another strutted down Market Street but hardly organized into a parade. Never got an explanation. Those still by the buses, though, were happy to pose.

The reason I had my camera was that Citygarden got its first new sculpture in the two years since it opened. Yesterday was the installation and today there is a bit of a party to celebrate. Pix tomorrow.

There sure is a lot going on in St. Louis to keep you busy Bob. These young ladies above seem very happy to see you with your camera.
I have to say Bob the first picture in your last post is very special, it has so much atmosphere it's almost tangible, it says the 'encore' perfectly, magic shot and so well titled! Loved the couple dancing too caught at just the right moment.

You should never go anywhere without a camera. You never know what you might see.

Maybe it was some sort of band competition? Nice shots of the kids though. They look very friendly.

These kids look like they are having fun.

Good luck to the Cardinals.

I always have my camera, too. These shots show you interact well with people!

I love your top photo, Bob. The friendly poses, the flashy dresses, the range of body types, and the cadets hanging out the windows. Excellent!

Wonderful smiles indeed. The close crop in the first photo makes it look almost surreal - love it!
