Transition From Costa Rica To St. Louis

.
Fiesta de Santa Cruz 2

A quick post from the Miami airport on the way home. This gentleman was in harm's way in the street during the horse parade in Santa Cruz. There were hardly any Americans around the town. The only U.S. sports gear I saw was this, one Boston Red Sox hat and my Cardinals cap. For my home town readers, this was a David Eckstein shirt. How long was he with the Cards, two years? I suppose being World Series MVP was worth his visit.

Sincere apologies to my CDP for the lack of comments this week. We've been touring our booties off. We normally return from a vacation more tired than when we left. That's the way we like it. Carpe diem. Back to normal later today in frozen STL.

Since we just returned from the warmth of Costa Rica, Downtown St. Louis 365 has something from last year's sunny Hispanic Festival.

Welcome home. I am glad it sounds like you had an enjoyable and busy time.

It amazes me when i see people in far away places wearing clothes of U.S. sports teams. The rest of the world seems to listen to American music, watch U.S. movies & TV shows, and wear American clothes.

Sometimes, the clothes are clearly foreign knock-offs. I once saw a baseball jersey for sale in a German department store, and it said "New York" on the front and "California" on the back. Sometimes they just throw some English words on the clothes, as that evidently boosts sales, or the price, or both.

Since my very first trip to Paris, I have had great difficulty transitioning from Paree to the farm!

I got so aggravated when trying to find a shirt for my grandson at the Monoprix in Paris. They all had words in English! Why would I go all that way to buy that? Last summer I found one that had a panda that said, "Je Suis Green!" . That'll do! HA
