Winter Night, 6th and Chestnut

Winter Night, 6th and Chestnut
Shot a few steps away from the location of yesterday's picture, standing at the edge of Kiener Plaza looking north on 6th Street. There are romantic horse-drawn carriages in the area that will swirl visitors through the wonders of downtown St. Louis. No takers on this not-too-cold evening, though. It's quiet. It usually is.

By the way, horses don't have to feed the meter after 6 PM.

yes, but will someone feed the horses after 6pm?

I'm surprised to find that though this is a great shot as usual, somehow the horse and carriage look out of place. Just my weird opinion.

I'll give it a go, I've never done it before in any of the places that offer horse-drawn sightseeing tours, Rome, Vienna...

Romantic, expensive and COLD trip I bet. I'll pass.

Don't talk to me about "quiet" downtown. We roll up the sidewalks at 6:00. I love this shot. Looks like the horse if "fixing to" feed the meter himself.
