Who Is Art For?

.
I beg to differ.

This statement of opinion was about a block away from the location of yesterday's photo. It may be a reaction to
Artica, a very out-there independent art festival held in October along the nearby Mississippi.

WHAT'S ON THE HARD DRIVE:
tons of good pictures from our Madi Gras parade.

TOMORROW:
laissez les bon temps rouler!

Yeah, I"ll beg to differ too! Of course you made a fine photograph out of it. I can't wait to get to the Mardi Gras parade and see what all you found. Got your beads on Bob???

This is a great contrast to my post on Phoenix Daily Photo where "Art is a Guarantee of Sanity". I wonder where that leaves the author of your graffiti. Another great catch!

Yeah, I beg to differ too! What a great shot - love the two blogs and the rusty orange and the writing. Graffiti but making a beautiful design.

maybe the cops chased them away before they could finish with "and for straights too!"

This person is either an artist making a statement or a lost soul who doesn't realize that by making such a statement in the public arena in a medium like graffiti, he is actually creating art. Probably the latter, and the irony is lost. What is that phrase? The ignorant throng presses on unaware of civilization or even their origins.

I like anon's observation. Irony indeed.

Yep, not true. Or maybe it is, but art's for everybody.
