Thursday Arch Series

.
I could make some corny comment about a new morning in America. The problem, though, would be that the view in this picture faces roughly west so it would be afternoon in America (or at least St. Louis), suggesting the same old day. We don't want that now, do we? Sometimes I feel this way about the Thursday Arch Series, which must be up to about 75 photos by now. Our visitors know what I have to say about the subject. Should I put it on sabbatical for a while or keep pushing? We could have, say, the Thursday My Messy Desk Series (which might be Zen-like). Or just put the series thing to rest for a bit. Let me know what you think.

WHAT MY STAFF AT THE OFFICE MADE ME DO YESTERDAY: they were so elated by the election results that they insisted that the boss (me) buy lunch for everybody so there could be a little party. Happy to oblige.

TOMORROW: I'm thinking more colorful fall foliage in wildly exaggerated HDR. The results may look like the cover of an LP produced in San Francisco in 1973.

Boss of the Year has a nice ring to it. I vote for more Arch personally. I like seeing all the amazing ways you think up to photograph it.

This arch means to me, the gateway to a new hope. The change has come.

I vote to keep the arch. You really don't have to say anything about, just show the picture. I love coming on Thursdays to see the Arch.

Ten random thoughts about The Thursday Arch Series:
1-The Arch rocks.
2-Flip this photo and it faces east.
3-When no one leaves a comment then The Thursday Arch Series ish kaput.
4-I just laughed my head off over at a blog called The Crappy Bloggers - the home for bad photos, yours don't qualify.
5-I love The Thursday Arch Series but it's your blog.
6-I insist you buy Virginia and me lunch.
7-I just got a letter for a free night at the hotel I profiled. I can get a kingsize or two doubles. I've decided that if I invite all of my blogger friends I'll have to go with the two doubles so there'll be enough room for everyone to jump on the beds.
8-Maybe you could have a seperate blog for your arch photos after they've posted here.
9-Virginia and I like BBQ.
10-Virginia and I say things like "y'all".

Love the Arch Series. Perhaps to mix it up a little, you could do a Great Architecture in St. Louis series. There would always be room for a new fab photo of the Arch and you could do for other buildings what you have done with the arch. You probably have done The Old Cathedral (I'm a fairly new reader>). But I bet you can do tons with just that. Then there is the Ballpark . . .

It would give me a little of my hometown that I miss.

I love the Arch series too. It never ceases to amaze me how many different angles and views you see.

The Arch to you is my bridge to me. Never boring, photogenic and always a winner. For me I'd like to see you enter something aong the lines of this image. A familiar icon, but photographed in a genuinely unique way.
