Asterisk

We here in the Midwest are under the crossroads of the American skies. I saw this in my neighborhood as I returned from work Wednesday night. An asterisk often leads to a footnote or comment. Sometimes is is a substitute for indelicate letters, as in f*** or its cousins.

What does the asterisk in the sky mean to you?

Great catch, Strangetastes!
I hope this asterisk in the sky wasn't the "writing on the wall" prior to that earthquake! :)

I think it means something like "f***" that was close, good thing we weren't all crossing paths at once!

I've been in the Arch. We used to live outside of Springfield. Have family in Columbia and Lake of the Ozarks :)

Ah, much like the lambda we saw in the Kansas skies, but better pulled off here.

an asterisk in the sky means there's an awful lot of planes flying around.

I really like your version of contrails, very original. Excellent shot strangetastes.

Wow, that's a real eye-catching shot! When I see contrails, I always wonder where the plane is headed and start dreaming about traveling to far away places. When I see an asterisk in the sky, I hope the air traffic controllers know what they're doing.

I hope the air traffic controllers are sober and know what they're doing! Or, there's been a skywriter out 'n' about.

I suspect it's just a cosmic commentary on our messed up air transportation system. -:)
